Getting turned around in the woods is one of the oldest outdoor fears there is, and YouTube has no shortage of videos claiming to teach you how to get back to safety. We ranked the eight most-watched videos on the topic by actual view count so you can start with the ones that have helped the most people.
Across the list you’ll find a mix of quick field demonstrations, step-by-step guides, and longer classroom-style breakdowns from outdoor retailers, bushcraft instructors, and science channels. Some run just a few minutes for a fast answer; others take their time if you want real depth. Pick the style that fits how you like to learn.
